• The Clovis Planning and Zoning Commission will meet 3 p.m. today at city hall.

Coming up ...

• The Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce executive committee board will meet at noon Thursday. There is a possibility they might discuss where next year’s Ag Expo and Peanut Valley Festival will be held with the fairgrounds closing in September.

• The Portales Street Department will begin a street improvement project at the intersection of Fourth Street and Avenue C on April 20. A city public notice said one lane traffic and closures could be a possibility, so slow down and obey traffic signs.

• The Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority board will meet in executive session at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the small conference room in Clovis city hall to discuss the hiring of an executive director.
