Educational Retirees

The Curry County Area Educational Retirees (CCAER) met March 3 at K-Bob's. Members learned about Islam and the Muslim faith from presenter Will Anderson.

Pam Wallace, membership chairperson, reported we have 214 paid local members and 111 state members for 2015.

Wallace also reported on educational bills currently before the New Mexico Legislature. Leslie Scroggins reported on cards sent on behalf of the benevolence committee.

We invite all retired Curry County teachers and CMS employees to join us the first Tuesday of each month at K-Bob's at 11a.m. Our next meeting will be April 7.

Beta Phi

Six Beta Phi members and three guests met March 3 at K-Bob’s Steak House. Everyone enjoyed a great lunch. Collene Baldwin, Sandy Heath, Chris Holtman, June Jeter, Laura Loflin, Patsy Lorenz, Beverly Miller, Suzy Moore and Cathy Romero were in attendance.
