Donations to United Way of Eastern New Mexico are coming up short with just a week left in the agency’s annual fundraising campaign, according to a press release from Executive Director Erinn Burch.
Burch said United Way donations pledged so far are about $62,000 less than the amount of money raised last year. The last day to donate or pledge to this year’s campaign is Feb. 20, she said.
Burch said $505,846 has been donated or pledged as of Thursday from individuals, business owners and corporations in Curry and Roosevelt counties.
A comparison of money pledge or donated so far this year compared to the 2013-2014 campaign:
Curry County: $432,571 this year — $494,599 last year
Roosevelt County: $75,203 this year — $78,226 last year
