A winter storm warning is in effect for Curry and Roosevelt counties until 11 a.m Saturday.

Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are expected, with up to 10 inches possible along the Texas state line, the National Weather Service is reporting.
A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain tonight will become all snow on Friday evening. Snow will be heavy tonight before tapering off early Saturday, NWS reports.
No significant winds are expected with this storm, but officials warn significant impact to travel is expected because of ice and snow accumulations, including Interstate 40 and highways 285, 60 and 70.
Visibility will be less than a half mile at times. NWS reports.
