Officials seeking feedback on parks plan

Staff report

The city of Clovis is working on updating its parks master plan, which will shape the direction and development of city parks services over the next 10 years.

Public comment is sought through a 6 p.m. Jan. 29 town hall meeting at the Clovis Civic Center, and through a survey.

Copies of the survey are available at:

www.surveymonkey.com/s/clovisparkssurvey

They’re available in hard copy form at City Hall (321 N. Connelly St.) the Clovis-Carver Public Library (701 N. Main St.), the City Parks Department (500 Sycamore), Clovis Community College (417 Schepps Blvd.), and the Clovis/Curry Chamber of Commerce (105 E. Grand).

Completed surveys may be delivered to City Hall, mailed to city of Clovis, P.O. Box 760, Clovis 88102-0760, or e-mailed to:

[email protected]

Surveys will also be randomly mailed to Clovis residents in January. Completed surveys will be accepted through Jan. 16.

Attendance is also encouraged at the monthly parks, recreation and beautification committee meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at City Hall.

The preferred concept for Hillcrest Park, together with the parks master plan, will be recommended to the Clovis city commission for final action.
