Curry County commissioners have 13 items to consider when they meet at 9 a.m. today in the Clovis-Carver Library’s north annex.
Commissioners also plan to honor county roads chief Steve Reed, who is retiring.
Items under consideration:
• A request for action on a resolution changing procedures for appointments to the Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority.
• Requests to approve agreements with six other counties for housing jail inmates; those counties are Eddy, DeBaca, Roosevelt, Quay, Otero and Lincoln counties.
• A request to appoint someone to determine all county-owned digital equipment with storage capability.
• A request to approve scrapping or selling at auction obsolete county property.
• A request to lower liquidated damages against contractor WWRC for roof repairs at five fairgrounds livestock barns.
• A request to the state Department of Transportation to approve funding for a road project.
• A request to add two additional equipment operators to the county road staff.
• A request from Spectrasite Communications to lease a cell tower for $800 a month.
