ENMU students study for finals in the Golden Library Wednesday night. Students are taking final exams for the fall semester throughout the week.

Eastern New Mexico University students are in their last week of the fall semester and many of them are taking up residence in Golden Library as they prepare for their final tests. We caught up with several students Wednesday evening to find out how they are handling finals week.

Name: Shawn Martinez

Classification: Junior

Major: Electrical engineering

What was your most difficult final? Why?

Renewable energy. Too much information to learn in a short time.

What is the first thing you’re going to do after you finish your finals?

Play video games all night.

What are your plans for winter break?

Just going home. I’ll probably hit the gym.

What is your ideal job in your field of study?

Working at Sandia Labs building circuits.

What was your favorite class this semester? Why?

Semiconductors II because it was easy.

Classification: Senior

Major: Physical education

What was your most difficult final? Why?

Anatomy and physiology. It was a lot of information to process and memorize. There was a lot we didn’t even get to during the semester.

What is the first thing you’re going to do after you finish your finals?

Work and probably drink and relax.

What are your plans for winter break?

Going back home to chill and I will probably do some soccer training.

What is your ideal job in your field of study?

Coaching soccer at the high school level in Texas.

Anatomy lab. We got to dissect a cat and find out our blood types.

What was your most difficult final? Why?

Anatomy. You have to memorize so much stuff.

What is the first thing you’re going to do after you finish your finals?

Go back home.

What are your plans for winter break?

Just reunite with my family and friends and party in Mexico.

What is your ideal job in your field of study?

I want to do physical therapy and work with injured athletes. Help them with rehab and treatment.

What was your favorite class this semester? Why?

Nutrition Health and fitness. It was fun learning about nutrition and how to stay healthy.

What was your most difficult final? Why?

Medical microbiology. There’s so much to it like diseases and medicines. The exam was hard. It was three or four essay questions.

What is the first thing you’re going to do after you finish your finals?

Going to travel.

What are your plans for winter break?

I’m going to spend it with family and friends in Roswell.

What is your ideal job in your field of study?

I’m going to medical school in Dallas and I eventually want to be a chiropractor.

What was your favorite class this semester? Why?

Medical microbiology because it’s right where I want to be. It’s all interesting to me.

My anatomy final. So much information to study and it’s a cumulative final.

What is the first thing you’re going to do after you finish your finals?

Clean my house. It’s messy.

What are your plans for winter break?

Going to California and meeting extended family.

What is your ideal job in your field of study?

I want to become a preschool teacher.

Early Childhood Education 239. I don’t know the name of the class but I got to work with children at the Child Development Center on campus.
