Defenders participate in local Veterans Day parade

Hundreds of Clovis, New Mexico residents lined Main Street Nov. 15 for Clovis’ annual Veterans Day parade.

Members with the 27th Special Operations Security Forces Squadron at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, made an appearance to honorably represent members of the 27th Special Operations Wing.

“I am extremely proud of my defenders who rallied together to pay tribute to our nation’s heroes in such a symbolic way,” said Chief Master Sgt. Ami Masaniai, 27 SOSFS manager. “We have such an elite core of Air Commandos who truly understand what it means to selflessly serve in today’s Air Force, uphold our values and honor our traditions.”

The squadron received recognition and was awarded in the veteran organization’s marching unit category.
