• Of note: The Hounds lead the all-time series 11-7, but are 2-5 at Durango. Both wins came in the 1937-38 season, on back-to-back nights — 68-36 on Feb. 18 and 58-32 on Feb. 19. … With their two wins last weekend in San Angelo, Texas, interim coach Stott Carter became the first ENMU coach to begin his first season 2-0 since Larry Riley in the 1978-79 season. Carter is ENMU’s 11th coach. … Fort Lewis features a roster with six players 6-foot-6 or taller, including 6-9 senior center Alex Herrera, who leads the team at 25.7 ppg, 11.0 rpg and 15 blocks. Others averaging in double figures are 6-6 junior G Kofi Josephs (12.7 ppg), coming off the bench, and 6-4 junior G Jared Smith (10.0). Five others average more than seven points. … Josephs has gone 9-for-20 from 3-point range this season. … Fort Lewis has outrebounded its first three opponents by nearly nine per game (126-100). … The Skyhawks were picked for fourth place in the preseason Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference poll. By comparison, Pueblo was tabbed for sixth.
