Players of the week

Offense Kat Evans, Cameron, Jr., OH, Pearland, Texas — Evans helped rally the Aggies from a 2-0 deficit to a five-set win with a career-high 26 kills. With Cameron trailing 14-13 in Game 5, she had a tying kill, a go-ahead ace and an assist on match point. The 26 kills put her within 11 of 1,000 for her career.

Defense Kenya Alexander, Tarleton State, Jr., MB, Fort Hood, Kan. — Alexander, the NCAA Division II leader in blocks per set, posted her third double-figure effort of the season with a career-high 13 total blocks against Angelo State. She added nine kills and a dig.

ENMU nominee Agatha Gibbons, Sr., MB, Suva, Fiji — Had 14 blocks (one solo) to go with 39 kills in ENMU’s three matches last week, including a career-high eight block assists to go with a career-best 16 kills in the Zias’ upset win over Texas Woman’s on Saturday.

Kayla Hebert, Cameron, So., S, McKinney, Texas — Hebert had 47 assists in the Aggies win over Kingsville, including 39 over the last three sets. She also provided 18 digs for her 17th double-double of the season.
