CANYON, Texas — Senior Hayden Segelke-Todd earned a second-place performance in goat tying to lead Eastern New Mexico University’s women to the team title with 260 points in the West Texas A&M rodeo over the weekend.

Tarleton State finished second at 210, followed by New Mexico Junior College at 205.

Segelke-Todd won the first go and finished fifth in the short go, while sophomore Lindsey Adcock was third in the first go. Also for the Zias, senior Kortney Cleveland finished third in barrel racing after winning the short go, while junior Macy Davenport placed fourth in breakaway roping.

The defending champion Zias currently lead the Southwest Region standings with 807 points. Odessa College (Texas) is second at 712.

ENMU’s men finished eighth with 70 points. Tarleton won the men’s title with 440 points to 255 for runnerup Western Texas College.

Junior Logan Vick split third and fourth for the Greyhounds in both the short go and the average in steer wrestling.

ENMU squads end the fall portion of their schedule this weekend at Texas Tech.
