Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
In the second full month of service for Boutique Air, passenger numbers have again risen from the prior month.
According to a report sent by Interim Clovis Airport Director Cody Mills, Boutique completed all 156 flights it scheduled for September, with a total of 658 passengers.
That is up from the August totals, where 154 of 156 scheduled flights were completed with 551 passengers.
The numbers mean Boutique sees an average of 4.22 passengers per flight and 21.93 passengers per day, which are 14 percent and 19 percent higher than last month’s averages of 3.7 passengers per flight and 18.37 passengers per day, respectively.
Boutique CEO Shawn Simpson said the company was pleased with the increase, and also happy with a 100 percent completion rate.
Boutique began flights to and from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on July 16, using an eight-seat Pilatus P-12.
During last week’s Clovis city commission meeting, Mayor David Lansford noted that Boutique was possibly looking into buying an additional plane. Simpson said Boutique has adequate equipment to serve Clovis, but is always considering expanding the fleet and would need to if it added additional routes.
