Rams collect third win in row

POJOAQUE — The Portales Rams got their third straight victory and their record back to .500 with a 51-13 road victory over the Pojoaque Elks.

Running back Bronte Staugaard had three rushing touchdowns and one receiving and quarterback Matt Martinez ran for a score himself.

Coach Jamie Ramirez is proud has been able to put their three game winning streak together.

“We played great in all facets of the game tonight. Its been great watching the teams improvement in the last three weeks.”

Paul Conrow and Travis Connell also scored in the game and Conrow returned a blocked put for a TD in the victory.

The Rams will try to get over .500 for the first time this season when they take on Hope Christian next Friday.
