Members of the Cannon community can now register their ID cards at the Fitness Center to access base gyms during unmanned hours.
Both the main fitness center and temporary field house, located in Hangar 174 next to the Fire Department, can be utilized by base personnel to meet fitness standards and maintain healthy lifestyles.

The entire process takes less than five minutes and only requires the person’s ID card.
It is important to note that those registering their cards for unmanned access must specify which facility they need access to: the main gym, Hangar 174, or both.
Some Air Commandos may have experienced glitches with the system; fitness center personnel made the following elaborations regarding those issues.
The previous system would generate a random 11-digit code when someone would go in and register. If that code was randomly duplicated by the software, the previous person’s access would become invalidated by the system error.
The new updated program utilizes DoD ID numbers to ensure each entry validation is unique for every member registering.
Unmanned hours for both facilities are Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and weekends from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.
