Food bank seeking partners

The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico will host a special distribution from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday at the Portales Memorial Building, according to a Food Bank press release.

The special food distribution is open to qualified individuals living in the Portales area who are not currently being served through any other mobile food distribution site.

All new clients will be asked to fill out an income eligibility form required by The Emergency Food Assistance Program, the press release said.

The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is also currently looking for new partner agencies in Portales who will aid the Food Bank in their mission to feed insecure families in the counties it serves.

The Food Bank operates as a warehousing and distribution point for emergency food, either donated or purchased, for area service agencies that help feed food insecure families and individuals.
