Power back on in Muleshoe

Power was out for about 30 minutes in Muleshoe this afternoon but has been restored, Xcel Energy spokesman Wes Reeves said.

"We experienced a disruption on a transmission line feeding eastern Muleshoe at 3:53 p.m. (CDT)," Reeves wrote in an email. "We did not locate the fault but were able to re-route the power flow at 4:24 p.m."

Reeves said both Xcel Energy and Lamb County REC are looking into the cause.

He said 1,604 customers were affected.
