New Mexico’s tax free holiday is coming up.
Set to begin at 12:01 a.m. Friday, various items will be sold free of a gross receipts tax charge through midnight Sunday.
Eligible (nontaxable) clothing items include:
Aerobic clothing
Antique clothing (for wear)
Aprons/clothing shields
Athletic socks
Baby clothes
Belts
Bibs
Blouses
Boots, general purpose (winter, dress, cowboy)
Bow ties
Bowling shirts
Bridal apparel
Bridal gowns and veils
Camp clothing
Caps and hats, including sports
Chef’s uniforms
Choir and altar clothing
Clerical vestments
Coats and wraps
Corsets and corset laces
Coveralls
Diapers (adult and baby, cloth or disposable)
Dresses
Ear muffs
Employee uniforms, but not athletic or protective
Formal clothing
Fur clothing, coats and stoles
