Southwest Dairy Day set for Oct. 8
Southwest Dairy Day is set to be held on Oct. 8 at Del Rio Dairy near Friona, according to a Dairy Producers of New Mexico press release.
The annual Southwest Dairy Day will be hosted by the Gingg family and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
The event rotates locations throughout the region to address new technologies that meet the needs of the industry, according to AgriLife Extension state dairy specialist Ellen Jordan. The event features an area dairy that has adopted some of those technologies, she said.
The program is free and open to the public. It will include tours, exhibitor booths, product testing and lunch.
Exhibitor and vendor booth space will be available through Sept. 8. Registration or donation information is available at https://agriliferegister.tamu.edu/Dairy.
