LUBBOCK — Two members of the Clovis Boxing Club competed last Saturday in the One Nine Mean Streets Throwdown.

Luis Sandoval, age 11, improved to 16-2 for the year, winning on a decision over Alan Avila of Odessa, Texas, while Jesus Varela, 16, beat Brandon Martinez, also from Odessa, by technical knockout.

Clovis boxers return to action tonight at the Lubbock Boxing Club.
