National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood warning for central Curry County until 10:30 this morning.

At 7:28 am, emergency management reported flooding from heavy rainfall over Curry County. KVII-TV's weather station just north of Clovis reported 2.25 inches of rain overnight.

Vehicles are stalled throughout the city and several intersections are impassable.

Clovis police posted on their Facebook page: "Clovis is experiencing urban flooding. This large slow moving storm has caused numerous flooded intersections throughout the city. Avoid deep standing water as well as fast moving water. Travel is discouraged until the flood water recedes."

Additional light to moderate rain will continue to exacerbate flooding, especially in urban areas, officials have said.

Roosevelt County is under a flood advisory and Portales has seen more than an inch of rain this morning.
