My sweet little kitty sleeps here beside me, curled up in her hat box, undisturbed. She's sleeping too soundly these days. Something’s wrong; no energy, losing weight. Blood tests this week will determine if she has the dreaded leukemia.
It’s breaking our hearts. We talk to her in softer tones. We spend more time just sitting on the porch so we can enjoy that favorite spot together. We worry about her future.
These precious little creatures that come into our lives… they touch our souls. They brighten our moods and lighten our loads.
This adorable baby has been my constant companion in the yard. Fighting dandelions has been a battle we've enjoyed together. She loves all humans and truly knows how to carry on a conversation. Ever patient with children, she's spent hours letting them hold her. She greets the guys in the workshop every morning, demanding to be brushed and held.
She came to us two summers ago and it was love at first sight. My tiny, shiny black beauty, with a name chosen from the Tour de France; the arrival of the “Peloton.”
Thanks for letting me ramble on about her, all my fellow pet lovers will understand.
