Pioneer days celebration kicks off Saturday

The 44th annual Pioneer Days will be celebrated Saturday through June 8 in Clovis.

The week-long celebration honors pioneers who settled the town and features activities for the entire family to enjoy. The theme of this year's event is "Welcome Back to the Homestead."

Events include the 13th Annual Pioneer Women Breakfast, the 7th Annual Duke of the Dutch Ovens Chuck Wagon Cook-off and the Annual PRCA Rodeo.

Tickets are $20 for premium seats, $15 reserved seats, and $12 for general admission (children 10 and under are free in general admission only and tickets bought in advance are discounted by $2).

Advance tickets are sold at the Clovis Chamber, One Stop Feed and Bar G Western in Portales. Premium and reserve seating will only be sold at Joe’s Boot Shop.
