Man sentenced for crime spree

Staff report

A Clovis man accused of a month long crime spree of smashing car windows and stealing from them was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday by Chief District Judge Drew Tatum.

Fabian Martinez, 20, was arrested in September 2013 by law enforcement, who were able to track him down when he used a stolen ATM card, according to a press release from District Attorney Andrea Reeb.

Martinez pleaded guilty to 15 felony charges picked up in the crime spree that started in August 2012 and ended with his arrest, Reeb said.

Assistant District Attorney Troy Oliver prosecuted the case and Martinez was represented by Thomas Harden.
