ENMU’s Samoei takes 11th in 3,000-meter

Eastern New Mexico University senior Isaiah Samoei finished 11th in the men’s 3,000-meter run at the NCAA Division II Championships, held at Winston-Salem State University. Samoei turned in a time of 8:28.10 the day after he earned All-America status with a third-place finish in the 5,000-meter run.
Micah Chelimo from University of Alaska-Anchorage won the championship, with a time of 8:15.52.
The championship event concludes the indoor season. ENMU resumes its outdoor schedule Friday at the War Hawk Classic, hosted by McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
