City of Clovis

Prince Street Overpass repairs scheduled to begin Monday

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Two will start repair work Monday on the Prince Street Overpass in Clovis. Work will include replacing the expansion joints, structural steel repairs, and deck resurfacing and sealing.

Traffic impacts will begin on Monday and motorists should expect delays particularly during the week (Monday through Friday). This $100,000 project is expected to take a month to complete. A minimum of one lane will be closed to traffic at all times. Work will start on the northbound lane.

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Roadway Improvement

The Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard roadway improvement project is still ongoing with utility companies currently relocating lines in the area.

The next phase of the project requires the relocation of a phone line prior to over-excavating of the area. CenturyLink has scheduled contractors to arrive this week to relocate the line and it is anticipated that this work will take approximately one week to complete..
