MEN

ENMU (12-8, 5-3 LSC) at Angelo State (15-5, 5-3)

• Last time out: Both teams won on Wednesday, ENMU edging Texas A&M-Kingsville 68-62 in overtime at Greyhound Arena while the Rams thumped West Texas A&M 69-47 at Canyon, Texas.

• Last meeting: ENMU outlasted ASU 72-68 in overtime at Greyhound Arena on Jan. 18, its sixth consecutive win in the series dating to a 70-68 home loss to the Rams in 2011.

• Of note: The teams enter today’s game tied for third place in the Lone Star Conference… The Rams are 9-1 at home, including an 83-68 win over second-place Midwestern State (14-6, 6-2). The loss came in their last home outing, a week ago against A&M-Kingsville (79-69). … The Rams have one of the top players in the LSC in 6-7 senior G/F Kenny Williams, who leads the league in scoring (17.7 ppg) and is second in rebounding (8.1 rpg). He has seven double-doubles, including 23 and a season-best 15 in the earlier meeting with ENMU. Also, 6-0 senior G Bryan Hammond (12.9 ppg) is coming off consecutive 20-point outings and leads the team in assists (4.5 apg). … Both teams average around 75 ppg; ASU shoots 48 percent as a team, ENMU 44 percent. The Rams have broken 80 points 11 times, with a season high of 107. … ENMU senior PG Rodney Blackmon ranks sixth in the LSC in scoring (15.5 ppg) and seventh in assists (3.1 apg). … The Hounds’ 165 steals pace the league, with senior PG Devone Davis (1.9 spg) and Blackmon (1.6) ranking first and sixth, respectively. … How rare was it to see Hounds senior G Kyle Lantz miss both ends of a two-shot foul on Wednesday? While he had been just 2-for-2 this season prior to that, Lantz had gone 36-for-39 (92 percent) in 108 games (34 starts) over his four years at ENMU.

WOMEN

ENMU (6-12, 4-5 LSC) at Angelo State (11-9, 5-5)

• When: 1 p.m. (MST) Saturday at San Angelo, Texas

• Last time out: Both teams lost on Wednesday, ENMU to Texas A&M-Kingsville 72-56 at Greyhound Arena and the Rambelles to No. 5 West Texas A&M 95-56 at Canyon, Texas.

•l Last meeting: The Zias defeated ASU 74-64 on Jan. 18 at Greyhound Arena, putting five players in double figures while shooting 8-of-18 from 3-point range and 20-of-25 from the FT line.

• Of note: The Zias have dropped four in a row to fall from second place to sixth in the nine-team LSC. Still, they’re just one-half game behind ASU and Midwestern State. … The Rambelles dropped from first to second in the league in ppg allowed (59.5) after Wednesday’s loss. Their two highest point totals allowed (81 and 95) have come in 39-point losses against WT. … ASU is 5-4 at home this year, while the Zias are 1-8 on the road. … The Rambelles are 9-0 when leading at halftime this season, 2-9 when they don’t. … ASU’s lone double-figure scorer is 5-11 junior F Hillari Adam (12.2 ppg). Meantime 5-11 junior F Haylee Oliver leads the team in assists (61) and blocked shots (11).
