Called the Land of Enchantment, the state of New Mexico is home to many fascinating and exciting places. To explore every one of them would take a load of cash and years of traveling. Luckily for the Airmen of Cannon Air Force Base the Outdoor Recreation Center has taken it upon themselves to supply them with adventures.
Twice a month, the center hosts a weekend day trip to one on the states’ treasures. These trips run year round and can be centered on anything from wine tastings to the witnessing of Native American ceremonies. These activities provide a fun and inexpensive way for Airmen of all ages to meet others with the same interests and tour the state in which they are stationed.
“We love being able to give everyone the chance to get out,” said 27th Special Operations Force Support Squadron recreation assistant programmer Brandy Theriault, “and to give Airmen more options of things to do on the weekends.”
