New course replacing 3C's of Communication

The 3C's of Communication class has been replaced by a new course, Communication and Assertiveness Training, as part of a rotational class series held on a monthly basis at Cannon Air Force Base.

This program is run by the Military Family Life Consultants in conjunction with the Airman & Family Readiness Center.

Generally held the third Thursday of each month, the other two classes in this series are Building Healthy Marriages, and Maintaining Healthy Marriages During a Deployment.

"We are branching off and are now able to help those who are single with these classes," said Charles Harris, 27th Special Operations Force Support Squadron A&FRC section chief. "We've been trying to gear our monthly presentations toward couples and deployment preparedness, but this class will do well in supporting the entire community."

Communication and Assertiveness Training will be held 11:30 a.m. March 21 in the Cannon Community Training Room This course will go over components of communication, being an active listener, roadblocks to communication and more.

For more information on this class or others in the series, contact the A&FRC at 784-4228.
