My Turn - No fun like game night

It may be sad or it may be just funny that as an adult person, the highlight of my week was playing Hungry Hungry Hippos and doing word search puzzles with a 6-year-old.

The one day I had off this week for the holidays was a good one, because it included making some great shopping finds in Muleshoe (Yes, I said Muleshoe), playing great games with an enthusiastic and intelligent child, and celebrating a late Christmas in which I enjoyed the entertainment of watching adults and teenagers try to defeat an electronic game in which you have to grab one of multiple handles when it lights up.

Game night proved to be interesting with intense and competitive rounds of Hungry Hungry Hippos going on between "kids" ranging from 6- to 61 year olds. One can't beat a week in which work is quiet and you get the chance to be a kid again.

For the New Year's holiday, I will most likely be working and sleeping, so those of you due to be off work, be sure to have a fun but safe holiday.

There are rodeos going on this weekend in Clovis, so for those of you who enjoy the rodeo, it could be a fun, relaxing holiday event to attend.
