Press release: Beauty Health Science Innovations, Corp.

The City of Clovis is reviewing the activities of Beauty Health Science Innovations Corp., the developer of the cosmetics manufacturing facility southwest of Clovis in the former Frozfruit plant.

Beauty Health Science Innovations Corp. was approved by the City for financial assistant to acquire a cosmetics manufacturing company in California and move it to Clovis. The company anticipated that as many as 300 new jobs would be created in Curry County.

Operations were to be relocated to Clovis earlier this year, but the company has indicated that the transfer has been delayed. Limited production in Clovis began several months ago, but has now been suspended.

The City has notified BHSI to explain the failure to meet its obligations, and meetings have taken place between BHSI representatives and City officials. An additional meeting has been scheduled to obtain further information on the cause for the delays and consider solutions that will assist in the development of the project to allow BHSI to meet its commitments to the City of Clovis.
