Cats lead Cleveland 14-7 at half

Capitalizing on two big plays, the Clovis Wildcats led Rio Rancho Cleveland 14-7 at halftime tonight.

Kamal Cass scored on a 12-yard run late in the second quarter to give its go-ahead score, which was set up by Cass' 62-yard kickoff return.

Erik Thomas gave Clovis a 7-0 late in the first quarter on a 1-yard run. The score was set up by a 62-yard catch and run to Peyton Lott.

Romell Jordan scored for Cleveland on a 3-yard run, capping an 85-yard drive to tie the score at 7-7 with 3:30 left in the second quarter.
