Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities

Club notes: Sept. 16

Clovis Rotary Club

The Clovis Rotary Club invites the community and surrounding areas to join them in celebrating New Generations month throughout the month of September. New Generations is Rotary International's newest avenue of service and was initially launched in 2010. New Generations recognizes "the positive change implemented by youth and young adults through leadership development activities, involvement in community and international service projects, and exchange programs that enrich and foster world peace and cultural understanding."

During this first year of involvement with New Generations, numerous activities are planned to recognize outstanding young leaders in our community who have made Clovis a better place to live through their service and commitment. In addition, the Thursday Clovis Rotary Club will engage area youth in chartering a New Generations Rotary Club, participating in Rotary Saturday at Matt 25 and assisting outreach programs to meet the needs of the community.
