Bingaman to visit ENMU

Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-New Mexico, will visit Eastern New Mexico University at 10 a.m. on Monday to speak with students about affordable education for New Mexicans.

Bingaman plans to discuss President Barack Obama's plan to make college more affordable by keeping federal loans capped at less than 4 percent interest and by slightly increasing Pell grants.

Bingaman is also scheduled to tour renovation work at the historic Hotel Clovis later in the day.
