Information on finishes for unlined jackets and ways to make a framed butterfly wall decoration will be the featured topics on "Creative Living" 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday and noon on Thursday. (All times are Mountain.)

Rae Cumbie is a custom dressmaker, artist and designer, and she will talk about the benefits of unlined jackets and will show some beautiful finishes for these jackets. These include a French seam, a rolled edge seam and bias binding using a Hong Kong finish. She is President of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals and lives in Baltimore, Md.

Donna Salazar is a professional crafter and designer, and she's going to show how to make a framed butterfly wall decoration that includes a quote to make it personalized for the recipient. Her business is Donna Salazar Designs, and she's from Irvine, Calif.

Information on quick and easy dinner recipe ideas and making sensational centerpieces will be the featured topics on "Creative Living" noon on Tuesday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. (All times are Mountain.)

What's for dinner? Roxanne Wyss, Williams Foods, Inc., shares some easy suggestions for dinnertime ideas that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. She's from Lenexa, Kans.

Patty Waid, event planner with Waid & Associates, will show how to make sensational centerpieces that sizzle. She'll discuss basic rules for a centerpiece, talk about transporting them to events, and explain what happens with the centerpieces when the event is over. She lives in Albuquerque.

Hot crab muffin-wiches

  • 1 can (6 oz.) crabmeat, drained
  • 1 pkg. (4 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp. onion, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 English muffins, halved
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Old English cheese slices

In small bowl blend first six ingredients. Toast English muffins on cookie sheet. Spread with crab mix-ture. Top with tomatoes and cheese slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.
