The Eastern Plains Council of Government's Board of Directors approved the 2012-2013 budget and election of officers Wednesday at its annual meeting in Tucumcari.
The budget ($361,587) is lower then last year's budget since Work Force Solutions in no longer part of EPCOG, said Sandy Chancey, EPCOG executive director.
The directors started the meeting with the approval of the 2005 audit and an update on the 2006-2008 audits.
Chancey said the 2006-2008 audits will be completed soon and will be available to the directors and public.
Chancey outlined the annual work program where the state appropriation of $95,742 will be available for EPCOG to help local government with services including; strategic planing, capital outlay assistance and legislative issues.

A property management update listed the management of EPCOG's rental properties, the Ruth Visage Apartments and San Jon Estates will soon be transferred to the JL Gray Co.
Vanita Menapace, Harding County administrator, was selected to receive the Wilderness Award. Chancey said the award is presented annually to a member who goes the extra mile to advocate for their community.
