Press Release: Pioneer Women's Breakfast set for Friday

Plateau and the Clovis/Curry County Chamber will host the 11th Annual Pioneer Women's Breakfast and Quilt Show at the Clovis Civic Center on June 8th at 7:00 a.m. This breakfast serves as the Chamber's monthly membership breakfast and celebrates the "Pioneer Women" of Clovis and Curry County that are the backbone and history of this community.

Again at this year's breakfast, there will be a quilt display by the Llano Estacado Quilt Guild. The Guild will showcase many of their beautiful handmade quilts during and after the breakfast.

New this year, the chamber will be collecting Pioneer Women recipes. Please bring some of your most treasured and family favorite recipes to the breakfast. The Chamber will collect "Pioneer Women" recipes throughout the remainder of the year and produce a cookbook for the 2013 Pioneer Women Breakfast.

Vintage fashion from the last century is encouraged or pink attire in honor of the breast cancer awareness theme "Tough Enough to Wear Pink".

In celebration and honor, all local Pioneer Women and their descendants are welcome to join members of the Clovis/Curry County Chamber at the June monthly membership breakfast.
