Three candidates file in De Baca

Three candidates filed to run for three De Baca County offices Tuesday, the state’s filing day.

• Incumbent De Baca County Commissioner George Gonzales filed for re-election to his seat in District 3. Gonzales is a Democrat and is completing his first four-year term.

• Democrat Rosalie Gonzales-Joiner filed for county clerk. Gonzales-Joiner is currently serving as chief deputy clerk under County Clerk Laurie Pettigrew.

• Republican Betty Berry filed for county treasurer. Berry is the former chief deputy treasurer under County Treasurer Randy Ballard.
