Information on making a year’s worth of jackets from one pattern, using onions as a side dish, and making vintage fabric covered-button crafts will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” on Tuesday, October 4th at 9:30 p.m. and on Thursday, October 6th at 12:00 noon. (All times are Mountain.)

Rae Cumbie is a custom dressmaker, artist and designer, and she will talk about how to have a year’s worth of jackets from one great pattern. She is President of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals, and lives in Baltimore MD.

Kim Reddin represents the National Onion Assn. in Greeley, CO., and she’s going to share some ideas for using onions as a side dish paired with a protein or a vegetarian based dish. Her recipe is Baked Onion Slices with Crumb Topping.

Author and designer, Laura West Kong will show how to make vintage fabric covered-button crafts using embroidered linens and other heirloom fabrics. Her book is titled Fast Fun & Easy Fabric Cover-Button Jewelry. She is from Loma Linda, CA.

Information on preparing “boil-in-a-bag” rice, decorating wooden storage cubes, and cooking with pecans will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” on Tuesday, October 4th at 12:00 noon and on Saturday, October 8th at 2:00 p.m. (All times are Mountain.)

That's what Bruce Johnson suggests we do, and he'll show how to use inexpensive wooden storage cubes to add color and creativity in any room in your house — and serve as a great way to store lots of different items -- from toys to linens to crafts. Johnson serves as the spokesperson for Minwax in Upper Saddle River, NJ.

Ann Cox represents the Texas Pecan Growers Assn. in College Station, TX., and she will demonstrate some exciting lunch recipes that incorporate nutritious and delicious pecans.
