Tom and Sharon Christie of Mansfield, Texas, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Alyene Christie of Mansfield to Blake Leslie of Frisco, Texas, son of Lonnie and Ardeth Leslie of Clovis.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Ed Kirksey and the late Beth Kirksey of Clovis.
The couple will exchange vows 11 a.m. Oct. 8, 2011, at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
The reception will follow the ceremony.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and a 2004 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington.
She is an elementary school teacher.
The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University.
He is a senior network engineer at T-Mobile USA.
The ceremony and reception are open to friends and family.
