Our people: Agent enjoys helping youth

Portales resident Melanie Gutierrez has been the 4-H agent in Roosevelt County for three and a half years and deals with anything related to 4-H. That means she spends a lot of time with children and youth and Gutierrez said she enjoys watching the students grow and become people. In the summer, she finds time to cheer on her husband at ranch rodeos.
