Roy H. and Caroline P. Newberry of Portales celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 12, 2011.
The couple was married Jan. 12, 1961, in Grants.
They have four children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is a retired farmer of sweet potatoes, peanuts, corn, milo and cattle.
She is mother of four children.
