Don't throw out all that leftover wine: Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.

Reminder

Clovis and Portales schools are closed Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Offices will reopen and classes will resume Tuesday.

Today in history

On this day in 1982, an Air Florida Boeing 727 plunges into the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., killing 78 people.

The crash, caused by bad weather, took place only two miles from the White House.
