Cannon Air Force Base’s Chief Master Sgt. William H. Turner, former command chief of the 27th Special Operations Wing, was chosen as the command chief master sergeant for Air Force Special Operations Command in Hurlburt Field, Fla. Turner's new position is the top enlisted position for Air Force Special Operations Command.
Turner will serve as personal adviser to the commander of AFSOC on issues regarding welfare, readiness, morale and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force.
Turner left Cannon for his new post in December.
