A shoplifting suspect was apprehended Friday night after customers chased as he fled a store and he slipped and fell, injuring himself, police said.
Clovis Police Chief Steve Sanders said the incident occurred just after 4 p.m. at Hobby Lobby in Clovis.
The suspect was taken by police to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries, Sanders said.
By statute, shoplifting is a misdemeanor.
