Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities

Our people: Record holder

Curry County Assessor Randy Williams has been employed by Curry County for 31 years, which turns out to be a record. He’s retiring Jan. 1. Williams is also a second generation assessor. His mother Alyce Pat Williams Littlejohn served four terms as Curry County assessor. Williams said when he started, elected officials could serve two, two-year terms, there were only three county commissioners, there was no county manager and much of the north and east ends of Clovis didn’t exist. “My time with Curry County has been an adventure,” he said. “Some good, some bad, but always an adventure.”
