Clovis BPO Does

The Clovis Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does held a regular meeting on Oct. 14.

Prior to the meeting, Elks Exalted Ruler Gayle Hanks spoke to the group. She thanked all of the DOES for the help and support given to the Elks.

She reminded everyone about the upcoming Veteran’s Day activities and encouraged participation including the next Joint Veteran’s Counsel meeting.

The Drove initiated five new members at this meeting. It was announced that Mae Pruey received an appointment to the Grand Lodge Good of the Order Committee and will serve at the Grand Lodge Convention in Des Moines, Iowa, in June 2011.

Nominating Committee was selected as follows: Kristy Marney, Linda Catanzaro, Bea Martel, Charmain Weringa, and Mae Pruey. It is this committee’s responsibility to present the slate of elected officers to serve for the 2011 year. Refreshments were served after the meeting. The next meeting will be Nov. 4.
