Band fundraiser set for Saturday

The annual Clovis High School marching band fundraiser Noodles and Notes will be held Saturday.

A ticket will gain admission to the spaghetti dinner at the First United Methodist Church from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. The church is on Sycamore Street across from Yucca Junior High School.

This is an all-you-can-eat full course spaghetti meal. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students. For the price of one ticket, ticket-holders can then watch the Wildcat marching band perform this year’s competition show at Leon Williams Stadium at 7 p.m. on Saturday night after the dinner.

Money raised pays for the band’s hotel rooms, meals, and other expenses involved in competition travel.

This season’s show is called Keeva, and it features musical selections and visuals from the movie Avatar.

The band will next compete Oct. 23 at the Tournament of Bands being held at the New Mexico State University football stadium in Las Cruces.

On Oct. 30, the band will be on the road again for the Zia Marching Fiesta held at the University of New Mexico football stadium.

Come out and support your Clovis High School Wildcat marching band, enjoy a good meal, and then be entertained by the pride of eastern New Mexico marching band.
