Roosevelt County Fair Queen Jamie Symlie was named Miss Congeniality on Sept. 26 in the 2011 New Mexico State Fair Queen Contest, according to a news release from the State Fair. The Miss Congeniality Award goes to the contestant who shows genuine caring and friendliness toward other queen candidates throughout the contest, according to the release.
Symlie received a sterling silver bracelet awarded by State Fair Commissioner Ruth Grant Bitsui.
