Denim purses, potato salad featured on show

Information on making denim purses, preparing potato salad three ways and baking with sunflower products will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday.
Author and sewing expert Barb Chauncey will demonstrate making a variety of denim purses based on designs from her latest book. Her company is A Barb Chauncey Design, and she’s from Gladstone, Mo.
Patty Mastracco represents the U.S. Potato Board in Sacramento, Calif., and she’s going to talk about how to make potato salad three different healthy ways, all of which can be prepared in less than 30 minutes.
John Sandbakken is with the National Sunflower Association, and he’s going to demonstrate how to bake using sunflower products. He’ll also explain what sun butter is, explain how sunflowers “follow” the sun” and tell why we should include sunflower seed products in our diet. He lives in Mandan, N.D.
Information on using a product called Magic Curtain Tapes and preparing and eating healthy dairy snacks will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Pat de Santis is the vice president of Corporate Marketing with Wrights in West Warren, Mass. She is going to show a product called Magic Curtain Tapes that can be used to make Roman shades, box-pleated curtains and drapes, and pinch-pleated curtains and drapes.
Marketing consultant Kay Davis will talk about choosing and eating healthful snacks. She’s with Dairy MAX Inc. in Lubbock, Texas.
