Connie Moyers is going to share some of her favorite ideas for gift giving, and many of them use scrapbooking paper and supplies, and all are easy to make. Moyers is with the New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service and lives in Clovis.
Ruth St. Pierre, whose company is Creative Business Resources, says we can use CPA, which stands for Create, Promote, Allow, in dealing with situations such as breast cancer. Speaking firsthand, St. Pierre says it was a way for her to reclaim her personal power. She’s from Pleasant Valley, Mo.
Terrell Sundermann is going to demonstrate making a window valance for either an inside mount or an outside mount. Her business is Terrell Designs in Englewood, Colo.

According to Connie Moyers, we can make our own delightful and aromatic bath products at home, and she’ll show how to make different lotions, bath salts and bath powders. Moyers is with the New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service and lives in Clovis.
Eggs are an ingredient in many picnic recipes, and Connie Cahill will talk about food safety and how to correctly hard cook eggs. She represents the West Coast United Egg Producers in Folsom, Calif.
Travel expert for Orbitz.com Valarie D’Elia will talk about how to choose a great vacation, tour or cruise online. She lives in Chicago.
Easy Hard-Cooked Eggs
Place eggs in a single layer in saucepan. Add enough tap water to come at least 1 inch above eggs. Cover and quickly bring just to boiling. Let eggs stand, covered, in the hot water 15 to 17 minutes for large eggs. (Adjust time up or down by about 3 minutes for each size larger or smaller.) Immediately run cold water over eggs or place them in ice water until completely cooled. To remove shell, crackle it by taping gently all over. Roll egg between hands to loosen shell, and then peel, starting at large end. Hold egg under running cold water or dip in bowl of water to help ease off shell.
Breakfast burrito
• 1 Colorado potato for each serving
• 1 flour tortilla for each serving
• 1 strip (cooked) bacon for each serving
• Grated Cheddar cheese (optional)
Bake or broil whole potatoes until tender. Peel and grate potatoes. Fry potatoes in skillet until brown and crisp. For each serving, roll up hash browns and one strip of cooked bacon in a flour tortilla. Top with sauce (recipe follows) or use a bottled chili sauce. Spoon sauce over breakfast burrito and top with grated cheese, if desired. Put in a hot oven or under broiler until cheese is melted.
Sauce:
• 1/4 teaspoon oregano
• 1/4 teaspoon powdered cumin
• 1 cup water
• 1 Tablespoon red chili powder
• 2 Tablespoons flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Combine ingredients and cook in saucepan until thick.
